A PhD position with a workload of 90 percent for four years is available at the Center for Chronobiology of the University of Basel and the University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel from 1 October 2025 (or by arrangement).

As part of the integrative Human Circadian Daylight Platform’s (iHCDP) module Circadian Health Clinic led by Dr. med. Corrado Garbazza, a randomized-controlled study on the effects of daylight on mood, sleep-wake rhythm and cognitive performance in patients with depression will be conducted.
We are looking for a committed, flexible and team-oriented person with a degree (e.g. medicine, psychology, nursing sciences) and an interest in clinical research. A sensitive and clear way of communicating with psychiatric patients and researchers from other disciplines is of particular importance for this position.
The position is part of the PhD Program Health Sciences (PPHS) in the Research Cluster Molecular and Cognitive Neurosciences at the University of Basel and offers an exciting environment with high relevance to society.
